This Cessna Aircraft Company 182P is build in 1974. Maximum weight 1406 kg, 1 Teledyne Continental Motors O-470-S Prop-driven (Piston).

We received an AOG call, it concerned a crack in a chrome-molybdenum steel engine mount of a Cessna 182. While the company disassembled the most important parts around the engine mount, we drove to the relevant hangar with our welding equipment.

The defect kept the aircraft on the ground, but luckily we were able to weld the crack quickly and on site, allowing the aircraft to fly again.

Steel alloys used in the aircraft industry are not standard alloys, these strong and light alloys require special equipment and material knowledge to weld correctly.
